Every year,  for 24 glorious days, Big Tex presides over the Great State Fair of Texas. His familiar salutation, “Howdy Folks!,” rings out as he shares the times for the pig races, who’s playing on the Main Stage, and what deep-fried goodness is available on the Midway. Deep Ellum-adjacent, the Fair is a fun, wholesome, micrososm of our great state, full of music, magic, and history.
